De Indonesische Gita Pranoto is geboren in Sofia, Bulgarije. Deze kunstenares volgde een kunstopleiding aan het voormalig Art Training Institute in Melbourne. De afgelopen jaren legde ze zich toe op portrettekenen. Sinds kort is Gita een nieuwe weg ingeslagen met vrij werk, waarin zij een subtiel spel van licht, schaduw, kleur en vorm toont. In haar werk besteedt zij veel aandacht aan de balans tussen de object en witruimte om zo tot een perfecte compositie te komen.

The Indonesian visual artist Gita Pranoto is born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She followed her education at the former Art Training Institute in Melbourne. For many years she worked on commissioned portrait works. Only recently, did she embark on a new course with painterly paintings, where she demonstrates a subtle play of light, shadow, colour and shape. In her work, she pays a lot of attention on the balance between the object and the negative space in order to create a perfect composition.
